Saturday my beloved and I extended our usual market shopping expedition to include a Moroccan butcher. What a delight! There were perserved lemons, olives, harissa and the most wonderful spicy merguez sausages. The best part was everything was very reasonable. That is why I always try to think ethnic when I shop.
Monday – Lemony pasta with wilted argula – I have been making this recipe since I was taught it in Italy but this is the first time I have seen it written down the way I make it.
Tuesday – Oven-braised chick peas with merguez
Wednesday – Pasta with fresh tomato sauce with prosciutto and mozzarella.
Thursday – Black bean burittos
Friday – Vension steak with Port sauce served with mashed white beans.
