Menu Monday 14th October 2013

Vintage housewife meal planning

This week our butcher was not at the market so we will be eating quite a lot of vegetarian food this week. Thank goodness there are so many lovely winter vegetables around.

We did treat ourselves to a lovely steak,  found in the discount bin of Tesco.

Monday – Steak with caramelised golden beet root

Tuesday – Baked gnocchi with Gorgonzola and spinach

Wednesday – Quinoa with Moroccan winter squash and carrot stew – I got a lovely onion squash to put in this.

Thursday – Chili from the freezer – my beloved might go weak without any meat.

Friday – The butcher will be back today so I will make the roast chicken that we missed last weekend.

  1. This week, we are eating Quinoa with Moroccan winter squash and carrot stew, also. We eat vegetarian most of the time because my daughter is a vegetarian and my husband ( the meat- eater) is usually on a business trip. Thanks for posting a yummy menu!
