I guess it is officially winter; hats, gloves and no locally grown green beans. The beans we got in the market on Saturday were the last of the season and not very nice. Time for more hearty fare.
Last weeks Slow cooker red wine short ribs was a huge hit with no need to serve with anything more than some good bread.
Monday – Grilled merguez sausage with Israeli couscous salad with red pepper, spring onions, chick peas and fresh parsley. The couscous will make for good packed lunches.
Tuesday – Vension steak with Port sauce
Wednesday – Slow cooker butternut squash, sage and parmesan gnocchi – bounced from last week
Thursday – Big batch of chilli in the slow cooker and to feed the freezer.
Friday – Home made pizza – I cheated and bought the dough at Whole Foods (only £1.99)
I hope you have a great week. For more menus visit OrgJunkie.
Haha we are “making” pizza this week too with premade dough. Ive never made dough from scratch!
I am enjoying the colder weather; I love making soups and chilis in the winter months.
