Welcome to the first Menu Monday of 2010. My Christmas wish came true – I received a slow cooker. Now I have to work on adjusting my cooking style and get even better at planning ahead.
I have been reading slow cooker recipe books, where the best advice I have read so far is to prepare the ingredients the night before then they are ready to go in the morning.
Monday – Chicken with forty cloves of garlic. This recipe was the one I use before in a clay oven; the only change I made was to take the chicken out of the slow cooker putting it in a hot oven to crisp it up a bit.
Tuesday – Chili in the slow cooker.
Wednesday – Chicken with broccoli, using leftover chicken.
Thursday – Spicy black bean soup made in the slow cooker. I am on the look out for a recipe, do you have one?
Friday – More chili
Saturday – Lamb Tagine I think this recipe sounds good but I might omit the aubergine(eggplant)
Sunday – Leftovers from all that slow cooking.
