The sun is shining and we all want to get out of our very clean houses. I have been tidying and clearing out and what do we do after a big clear out? We make a list of the new stuff we want.
Last week in the post Spring 2012 Style Update, I listed the trends that are the easiest and least expensive to make it look like we are on trend for the new season.
The easier and most wearable trends, I think are coloured jeans and colour blocking, where you wear an outfit that has two very strong colours. These trends you can easily put together by getting some bright jeans and add a stripy top. Big chunky stripes seems to be the most effective to create the look. Or a printed jacket over a solid coloured top and jeans, that match of course.
Florals are a big trend as well. This season’s flower print is bold and no shrinking violet (forgive me for the pun). I would just get a great floral top to go with my coloured jeans.
Now I have my shopping list, how am I going to update my look with the least painful expenditure? I am going to hit my trusty Net Voucher Codes. I love saving money while shopping.
As you know, I am a reluctant shopper, I always try to shop in my own closet first but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and spend a bit of money. Being Lean does not mean looking shabby. It is just the opposite, it is looking fabulous without spending a small fortune.
When shopping for clothing it is always the rule to spend a lot less on the spring/summer season than you would in the autumn/winter. The season is so much shorter and generally the clothing is made of less expensive fabrics.
What are you planning to buy to update your look?
